Portrait Lighting
Split lighting - it splits the face exactly into equal halves with one side being in the light, and the other in shadow.
Loop lighting - is made by creating a small shadow of the subjects noses on their cheeks.Rembrandt lighting - Rembrandt lighting is so named because the Rembrandt the painter often used this pattern of light in his paintings. Rembrandt lighting is identified by the triangle of light on the cheek.
Butterfly lighting - named for the butterfly shaped shadow that is created under the nose by placing the main light source above and directly behind the camera.
Here are my example shots.

Understanding Aperture / Shutter Speed / Iso
Aperture / Shutter speed / Iso
Photography - drawing with the Light
(without light there is no photography)
Aperture is a hole within a lens, through which light travels into the camera body
f /1.4 f/2 f/2.8 f/4
the larger the f-number, the smaller the aperture.
Shutter speed it is responsible for creating dramatic effects by either freezing action or blurring motion.
-controls the light and ambient light
Slow shutter speeds allow more light into the camera sensor and are used for low-light and night photography
Ambient light - natural light
(Shutter speed, also known as “exposure time”, stands for the length of time a camera shutter is open to expose light into the camera sensor.)
ISO the level of sensitivity of your camera to available light. It is typically measured in numbers, a lower number representing lower sensitivity to available light, while higher numbers mean more sensitivity.
More sensitivity comes , the ISO increases, so does the grain/noise in the images.
